About this course

Algebra 2 Grades 9 to 12 is a free 12-week online high-school algebra course. Students join Comet and Wren in the Glass House, the old greenhouse behind the community center that the crew restores for a spring Open House: complex numbers and quadratics with no real solution, polynomial functions and their graphs, dividing polynomials and the remainder theorem, rational expressions and equations, radical equations and inverse functions, exponential functions and geometric series, logarithms, building and transforming functions, trigonometry on the unit circle, periodic models, conditional probability and independence, and the normal model with sampling, experiments and simulation.

12-week list

Each week has short lessons Monday to Friday, a Glass House Lab on Wednesday, and a Garden Day with the family on Saturday.

Week Topic Focus
1 Complex Numbers and the Arc That Never Lands The sprinkler arc that never reaches the planter
2 Polynomial Functions The planter box whose volume is a cubic
