About this course
Geometry Grades 9 to 12 is a free 12-week online high-school geometry course. Students join Comet and Wren in the Scene Shop as they build the set for the spring show: precise definitions and constructions, rigid motions and symmetry, congruence from rigid motions, proofs about lines, angles, triangles and parallelograms, dilations and similarity, similar triangles and the Pythagorean theorem, right-triangle trigonometry, circles and their angles, arcs and sectors, coordinate geometry, equations of circles and parabolas, where the volume formulas come from, and modeling the set with shapes, density and design.
12-week list
Each week has short lessons Monday to Friday, a Shop Lab on Wednesday, and a Shop Day with the family on Saturday.
