About Rocket & Raven

Rocket & Raven Press is the STEM imprint of Lantern Learn. We make phenomenon-based science workbooks for elementary kids — the way practicing science teachers tell us science should actually be taught.

Every workbook starts from a real puzzle a child can observe. Vanishing puddles. Migrating monarchs. A roller coaster that keeps going after the first hill. We don't lead with topic-of-the-week worksheets; we lead with curiosity, then build the explanation.

Our books follow the NGSS 5E learning cycle (Engage → Explore → Explain → Elaborate → Evaluate) mapped Monday through Friday for twelve weeks. Reading, math, writing, and engineering are interleaved every week, because real science is interleaved. Hands-on "Try It at Home" investigations use household supplies — no kit purchase required.

We are honest about how the world works. No anthropomorphism. No invented facts. No "water wants to flow." Our authors include classroom science teachers who keep us accurate and grade-appropriate.
